Que Passe?! (What's Happening?)

Okay, so there has been alot going on with YWAM over the 2 and half weeks I've been here. Last week our speaker talked about the Father Heart of God... and it sounds so simple, but it was revolutionary!! I could never do another thing with my life, I could lock myself up in my basement and hide away from the world, and God would not stop loving me as much as he does. I can't lose it!! Besides - - how boring would it be to waste me life away when God has such great plans. Our world tells us that we are accepted by what we do, by our performance, and sadly this has seeped into most areas of Western Culture -- including the church, especially the church. But God loves us. period. not because of what we do, He simply finds delight in us because of who we are - - His children. I've learned so much about God's heart for us that I can not wait to share with others!! So many misconceptions we hold about God that I cannot wait to correct!!
We have also been doing some other pretty fun things in the last few weeks. I have been surfing in the Pacific Oean - - and also been to the Red Cross proceeding my surfing trip, because I split my head open on my board. I cant wait till I get my stitches out so that I can go again! I love surfing! Last week our speaker also took us out on a boat around the Port of Ensenada (Like a Father would take his kids out...) And i saw 2 pretty cool things on that trip. The first one was the BLACK PEARL! from Pirates of the Carribbean - - it is currently docked in Ensenada as a tourist attraction. The second was an old half sunken boat that was used during WWII as a hospital, and is now FULL of Sea Lions!! They are so cool, and make the weirdest noises! Our leader Nick also told us that sometimes they see Tiger Sharks, but we didnt see any. Last weekend I went out with Project Deborah, which is a support group for families with disabled children, these families come to know the Lord through Annabelle and Tony who run the program. They started it fairly recently because Deborah their daughter has cerebal palsy and she is such a gift from God. It is a great ministry. Last weekend we also went out to Bahios, which is a rougher area of Ensenada. It's basically a street filled with bars, drunks, prostitutes, and addictions and other beautiful people that need to know about Jesus' love. God did some pretty cool things, but the coolest one was this couple who was stuck in addiction, and at first they didnt even want to talk to our group and said they'd had enough of that religious God stuff, and then they final came and talked to us, and the following day they came to the base and talked some stuff through and GOT SAVED!! They're currently in line for a rehab center along with their 3 daughters that they want a better life for! Praise God!!
Anyways this is just a little bit of what's been going on, please keep our team in your prayers!
God Bless!
